“Accepting losses is the most important single investment device to ensure the safety of capital.”

What I use in my own trading
I’m not promising the list below will be perfect for you.
What I can say is that I use them myself, and I’m comfortable recommending them. If you’re looking for a place to start, this list might save you a few hours of searching.
Decentralized Trading
BCH Bull
A different approach to trading. Instead of sending funds to an exchange, you keep control of your keys while taking long or short positions through Bitcoin Cash smart contracts. Everything settles transparently on-chain via AnyHedge.
Crypto Exchanges
Bybit EU
EU-regulated branch of one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world. Clean interface, solid liquidity, competitive fees, and a platform that has evolved from a derivatives-focused exchange into a much more complete crypto ecosystem.
Brokers
Interactive Brokers
My primary choice for stocks, ETFs, options, and futures. Not the simplest platform to learn, but one of the most capable once you grow into it.
Dukascopy
One of the few brokers that still feels built by traders for traders. Known for its ECN model, transparent pricing, market depth visibility, and a platform that offers extensive support for automated trading.
ICM
Forex and CFD broker offering MetaTrader infrastructure with reasonable spreads and quick execution. Good middle-ground option when working with MT4/MT5 strategies.
Purple Trading
EU-regulated CFD broker offering MT4 and MT5 access in a straightforward trading environment. Transparent pricing, reliable execution, and a focus on simplicity make it a good fit for many European traders.
Platforms
Multi Charts
Professional charting and automated trading platform with deep backtesting capabilities, custom scripting (PowerLanguage), and broker-agnostic connectivity. Built for serious systematic traders.
JForex
Dukascopy’s proprietary Java-based platform. Strategy API in Java, advanced order types, market depth visibility, and historical tick data on tap — one of the best environments for algo-focused FX traders.
MetaTrader 5
The modern evolution of MT4, adding support for stocks, futures, and exchange-traded instruments alongside forex. More timeframes, improved order management, and a significantly more capable strategy tester make it the preferred choice for many newer traders.
MetaTrader 4
The platform many traders started with. Its combination of simplicity, broker support, and an enormous community has helped it remain relevant long after newer alternatives arrived.
